Maximize your browsing space [Firefox tip]

Especially on new netbooks and small laptops, it’s pretty frustrating to surf the web on such a small screen. That is why I always try to minimize my Firefox toolbar space. Here you can see my solution:

firefox

Main customizations are:

  • choose a minimal theme (I’m using Two Dimensions)
  • tell Firefox to use small icons: right click on a toolbar->customize..->use small icons
  • reorder, remove, add toolbars and buttons (right click on a toolbar->customize..)
  • use a Tiny Menu
  • add cool plugins (Puny URL, Read It Later, RDown, Wave notifier, Greasemonkey, Xmarks and more…)
  • using just favicons on the bookmarks bar, instead than icon + name (right click->proprieties->delete the bookmar’s name)

The only thing I was not able to do is removing that f*****g browser bar on top (to get something more like Chrome’s interface).
